Skills Letter

Dear Future employer,

I am very excited for this opportunity to I have to be considered for a position here at this company. I am looking for a job at this particular company because I have skills that you are looking for that I have obtained and perfected from past employees.
I am known for my work ethic and am very dedicated at the task at hand and my responsibilities. I also am skilled at operating and driving any type of machinery or vehicle. Besides these other skills I have I am a very good listener and I hear people out, I want to know all the details before I start a project. I also have the skill of being a fast and efficient learner, if I am not able to do it very well when I first start it will only be a moment before I will be able to do the task well. Thank  you for taking the time to read this and consider me for this job.

Sincerely,

Ben Shipley

Skills Assessment

Skills that I enjoy:
Operating/ Driving
Lifting
Constructing/ Assembling
Skills I preform well:
Handling people
Integrating
Listening
Skills I would like to Develop:
Persuading
Interviewing
Accounting
My plan for developing these skills is practice. I have never really had to use these skills to much, but when I have had needed them I was wishing I had them. One way that I can develop them is through various jobs and responsibilities.
The assessments were good I didn't think that the online one was as accurate as the book assessment was. It said that trouble shooting, repairing, and active listening were my top 3 skills. And that an electrician was the top career. I am not sure at the moment exactly what type of careers these skills would lead to but i am sure there are quite a few. The majority of the careers would probably be out side jobs, or hands on jobs.

Family is my number one value, it has always been a high priority what good is a father that is never there for his kids or wife, no good. Any quantity of money cannot replace any mother or father. And yes this will be a factor in choosing career, I love working hard long hours, but I am going to need time for my Family.

Accomplishment, I like to see my results and know that I am obtaining my goals. This would help me in deciding and doing well in a career.

Loyalty, and integrity, if I don’t trust the company or people that I work with, how can I successfully be a good employee.

Pleasure it is important for me to find pleasure in the things I do, if I find a career that is pleasing to me then I might go for that one.

Working outdoors/ Physically Active, I don’t enjoy being cooped in an office, all of my jobs that I have had, have been out doors and physical. Not that it has to be that way for a career but it is something that I would prefer and enjoy.

Economic return, My ultimate goal isn’t to become filthy rich, but I want to have a good solid income to be able to support my family with a comfortable life.

Flexibility, I consider myself a flexible and adaptable person in any circumstance. And I believe that to be an important characteristic of value.

Helping others, I enjoy helping others and the way it makes me feel after I have better someone’s life through my choices. And if you are able to do that through your career also all the better.

Cooperation, to successfully run a company or any type of operation it takes the cooperation and help from everyone. Without it your work place will be a chaotic mess, and no fun to work in.
Mission Statement

To go through life positively, working hard, finding adventure in it all, living life to the fullest and helping others do the same.
